With your keen recognition of B&N's book-finding problem, I can see a management future for you if only they have the good fortune to discover you. In addition to solving their practical problems, you also would bring a little fun that might liven up all those serious and studious customers who seem to inhabit their stores.

As for my reading habits, I'm an amateur in relation to the literary elites of DAR. I'm not an avid reader but usually have a book going ... the biography John Adams at the moment. I read mostly non-fiction ... biographies, human interest things like the James Herriot series, and occasionally "self-help" things like health and psychology. I have a complete Robert Frost collection and read a selection or two every now and then, along with Bible readings in connection with my church activities. So, pretty ordinary stuff for the most part, as you can see. I would do well to become a more adventurous reader. I once heard someone say that life can never be boring as long as there are places you haven't seen or books you haven't read. I would add "friends you haven't made", and of course there are many other things that could be added.

A woman in my church singles group recently mentioned having discovered the Mitford series and how much she was enjoying it ... I remember that you also gave it a thumbs-up, so it's still on my list of things to check out.
