Kholt said "Seems to me that we can beat anyone in a war. It's nice to have that tool in the toolbox."

This is false confidence. A nation can build a trillion dollar shield against incoming bombs but it all falls down when a terrorist can take control of a domestic flight and fly it into buildings full of people.

"Mecca and Medina are international cities within Saudi Arabia. Travelers from throughout the globe go to these cities for the singular purpose of seeking Peace with God creation and fellow human beings."

I don't think you will see many western tourists romping on the beaches of these "international cities".

"It is forbidden for the traveler who is in "Ihram" (holy pilgrimage) to participate in any kind of conflict while visiting."

Islam is the religion of conflict.

"That would include plans to bomb an enemy or argue over a parking spot. Saudi Arabians are probably the minority in these cities while visitors are the majority. I think you already know this but I feel obliged at your invitation to react... :-) how'd I do?"

Bomb who? Islam is the religion of the double standard. Islamic humanity only includes your own kind.

"Baghdad is a political city but also has history that touches all Western society."

Burn it.

"Is bombing an end in itself or do you have specific goals you are advocating....that is, beyond reactions from me."

Reducing the cultural icons of Islam to dust would force Islam to reinvent itself. Perhaps they would all convert to Christianity, or maybe a new prophet would come forward for you. The west is not going to tolerate this b.s. from the Sheikhs and the terrorists they support.

What Went Wrong?

By all standards of the modern world—economic development, literacy,
scientific achievement—Muslim civilization, once a mighty enterprise, has
fallen low. Many in the Middle East blame a variety of outside forces.
But underlying much of the Muslim world's travail may be a simple lack of freedom
