Actually, it hasn't worked this way for a couple of centuries. The pay disparity between the executive suite and the rank and file has grown hugely in just the past decade.

Personally, I love the state of Capitalism in America.

However, I think you may have missed the target of my satire. Which is: you = shareholder, me=company executive. You get poorer, I get richer.

Capitalism is supposed to work to the benefit of the owner, not to the detriment of the owner for the benefit of the worker.

P.S. Yes, us executives are underpaid by a huge margin. At least I feel compelled to assert so quite often and quite frequently. It's those others who are over paid!! <ggg>
