Although I am not on this challenge, it makes sense to have some kind floor because other wise you could pick any number of penny stocks that have random moves and big ones in terms of % FWIW

Yes Al I think a .10 minimum is a good idea.

Nope! It's only a game. Sometimes TA works but most of the time it doesn't on these "sub"- penny stocks. Any large bid or Ask of a couple thousand CDN pesos can move the price North or South...

For example: to move ITF.to the other day would have taken a grand total of only $4,000 CDN dollars.

If someone has 4k to throw away... & try to "fix" the price... & IF someone is that "hard up" to win a contest on SI... Good luck to 'em... I guess they deserve to win the contest.

All the trades & price action come out in the wash IMO.

If after this contest... ITF (which is due for delisting BTW for those who haven't done any homework...), crashes... one could assume that I have been playing with the bid & ask...

Personally, I've got better things to do...

Regards,
Peter

Al, I agree with a ten cents minimum.

Just my two cents worth,
Gofer

10c minimum works for me. I should have stayed with my Denison from a week back.

meh.

the .10 minimum might make the contest more distributed, but the risk of playing these micros is real and one we measure in real life investing. I think we have all been tempted at some point.

huge reward, huge risk, harder to predict.

i like the contest as is personally.

on a side note, red gets my vote for mr monday. His picks are not always up big by friday, but i can't think of one week where his pick was not in play on monday. I've been keeping an eye out for them the last few months.

red... not a cut on you... your picks are pretty solid all around. Still think you work for csis or something with you "i hear that..." picks.

Yes I would prefer a ten cent limit. And also I would ban warrants and rights.

I would also like to see a .10 minimum, although on many an occasion I have picked sub .10 stocks. You can be up 100% one day and down 50% the next, they are volatile.
