Iran is not an Arab nation. Among Muslim nations, Turkey is the most democratic. Among Arab nations, Egypt is probably the closest, although Jordan may rival it. Iran is really still more or less a theocracy. However, there are moderate elements in the regime. The problem is, no on knows if they will prevail. Meanwhile, the radical elements sponsor terrorism and strive to obtain a plutonium bomb......
