Paul, in Dec. you posted the average value for the Dec. Dow options. I checked Max Pain for the DJX for Feb. and it is 98. That would seem to indicate the Dow may finish at 9800 on Thursday. That might put a bit of a damper on a run to 10,000. I bought DJX puts at 9875 today with a target of 9300 by early March (the H&S result).

I'm just wondering if the average price of the Dow options works out to be the same as Max Pain. TIA.

I was at the dentist this afternoon and they happened to have a current Newsweek magazine. The 2/11 issue. Lo and behold there was a big glossy article on Short Sellers. Sung the praises of David Tice and some others.

Gee- I wonder if that's another sign of a top in the market. <g>
