...your on a board where many LTB&H investors have retired on the performance of this stock alone.

How is that possible unless they SOLD the stock? And if they sold, they are not LTBH investors. Sure, they held it through the mania and cashed out (I'm assuming they did; hopefully they didn't borrow money with QCOM as a collateral when it was near its highs, in which case they will have to come out of retirement and enter the ring again!).

He may have shorted the shares at 38 and failed to cover (!).
