M6,
Bob is confident enough in the long term to contine to buy jdsu down to 5 and be happy about holding it for the lt. Steve Sacco on the other thread sees 3 as a bottom and Cary probably would be a buyer then also. Actually i have watched cary do this with amat and other chip equips and his success is uncanny. But what if the bottom is successfully tested here and jdsu stays above 5 thus shutting out Cary and locking in a big win for Bob in the future? Or what if it goes to 3 and Cary does it again. All that means is that Bob and Cary will be equally happy in the future. When the stock is 30 will it really matter exactly what their average purchase prices were today?
Bob sees the supply/demand thing overshadowing valuation in this case. Cary's formula may be more successful in more mature sectors. Just some disjoined thoughts. mike

PS
Mets in 6 this year is a strong possibility this year. Pitchers and catchers today and we are arguing about something as trivial as money??/
