France, and Europe (except Britain) have a uniform plan --a "double game" if you will: 1. As members of NATO, accept & prosper from all the military protection the U.S. can afford them, paid for in U.S. dollars and U.S. blood; 2. Endlessly criticize and heckle the U.S. to appease their third world "friends". It is an old Machiavellian game, and it still surprises me that anyone would be concerned about European opinion about anything. The Europeans are feckless allies who should be perceived and treated as what they are.
