And I agree, the $$s are what really matters. The ratio may have been relevant while the industry was enjoying sustained growth, but not now. Falling orders are inevitably followed by reduced production, and the ratio can and did start rising before the orders bottomed out. More that one month of rising orders is needed to confirm a reversal of the decline.
