Ummm, the replacement of .18 Foster Xeon by .13 Prestonia Xeon started last month.

Intel is carrying the costs of several .13 flash fabs - if they aren't going to be using them to produce flash, well, that's a darn shame.

OTOH, Intel's conversion of a FAB from .18 to .13 appears to be a matter of switching to phase shift masks and different process recipes, so it is fair to say that a lot of .18 investment can be re-used for .13 production.

PS - McKinley? What percentage of Intel's unit wafer production do you expect to be taken by McKinley?
