PCSTEL-

No. Qualcomm should position itself for growth that takes away the variable regarding the timing and size of the migration.

As Hemmingway said, "Wouldn't it be pretty to think so?" Sounds great but can it be done. Qualcomm has been focusing on what it is good at, making a significantly better product than GSM/GPRS/WCDMA. Whether they can make competitive GSM/GPRS only chips I don't really know. If they can without losing the lead in CDMA, you are absolutley right.

Waitng for the CDMA rainbow to come to them? They seem to be investing in all the right places trying to grow the market. I am not saying that you are wrong, but I would be hesistant to risk QCOM losing sight of the vision while focusing on a two to three year slowdown.
