I submit it is the latter, based on his personal cosmology of beliefs. "But simply stating that good and evil DO NOT EXIST" You are the one stating this, not me. I suggested they were the productions/conceptions of the ego, all arising in God. "Worse, since it's the same as saying we DO NOT HAVE A CHOICE" It is NOT the same as saying we do not have a choice. It is saying that the NOTIONS of Good and Evil arise in the ego and a choice very definitely exists as to whether to go to that polarization (you traditionally talk of turning ONE(1) into TWO (2) <ggg> or whether it is just surrendered to God. That is very definitely a choice. THE BASIC CHOICE. But suggesting that every moment in consciousness requires a value judgment of good or evil is ENSHRINING the fundamental activity of the ego, allowing it to line itself up with its conception of good and evil, making the choice IT considers is "good" and projecting "evil" on to so-called others, whether they be persons, creatures, spirits, whatever. "if this is coming from Adi Da, then we must BE ONE with Adi Da's Tooth Fairy's" This came from Jim, based on my(egoic) perception of Adi Da's Teaching. I always identify any direct quote of Adi Da's. "Remember, even evil is created by God" I repeat (where I am coming from) God is the UNDIFFERENTIATED oneness in which EVERYTHING appears. It is (speaking personally) ABSURD to suggest that the bad-TV nature of this world(and our own egoic consciousness) is created by God. Your statement above BLAMES God for the creations of the ego, and then gives credit for allowing the choices. The ego creates ONLY what it WANTS to choose. "You need THREE to complete-fullfill the model of His Love" The "Trinity" model of MANIFESTED EXISTENCE is (according to Adi Da) a valid model for understanding manifested existence up to and through the 5th stage of life (although not as you describe it). From the vantage point of the 7th stage of life there are no such divisions. If you would like me to send you a description of the 7 stages of life, the conceptions associated with each, the segments of manifested existence involved, the realizations associated and so on, just let me know. If you prefer to stay with your present understanding, also OK, just don't DISMISS any other view just because it doesn't fit yours. I will see if I can find some quotes of Adi Da that will give you more "meat" either for an "attack" or a "consideration" or a "competition" or a "speculation" or.... And yes, there IS a choice between the two (or more)--albeit of the ego, arising in God, to go either with its egoic preference, or something else! Namaste! Jim
