Swahili wisdom
or
"Mzaha mzaha hutumbuka usaha"

This means
"Too many jokes bursts out the pus "

It is always good to know how to say pus in Swahili, which of those word do you think means pus ?

The Swahili were very wise.

In the spirit of the Gold Monitor Thread, did you know that pineapples have been amazingly successful when planted on mine tailings or depositions.

"Pineapples flourish on 100% deposited tailings in the Maurujaya Reclamation Center in the Ajkwa Deposition Area."

Gary,

A viewing of the whole picture of off-topics on this GPM thread
will reveal that those who post such have no tolerance towards
those who visit here for on topic news and express an opinion
that the purpose of this GPM thread has been ignored.

Or to put it another way, those like you are ignored totally who
visit here and get garbage both in content and respect.

Now yes you can place these few like long-gone, Graystone,
and E. Charters on ignore, but its like placing a plastic wrap
on top of crapola that has rested upon this thread in that the
stuff that stinks still is here and does keep others that not only
want to obtain on topic posts, but more importantly to you,
it keeps those who would post on topic material to stay away.

The only way to solve this problem is to use accountability
that takes the form of enforcement, as without that the situation
will not change since these few folks only respect their own desires
to see their own reflections on this thread.

What to do is simple, work with what you have to solve the problem.

Since there exist nothing on this GPM thread to modify the selflessness
these three have demostrated continuously year after year, then those
who want change must lift up the structure of this GPM thread
and simply move it onto a moderated thread that keeps them off.

Extra simple in that its already done, and unlike threads that have
a history that needs to remain intact, like on a specific company,
here its the day's events to monitor what will happen tomorrow
is that which is only important, not yesterdays "weather report."

So a simple move as where the posting is done to accomplish
the on target and on topic of what this thread was created for
does exist, as follows. Those who can not bring themselves to
make such a small and simple move will ineffect make a statement
that they feel no need to leave a location that has crapola abounding.

A moderated thread is a simple way to flush out crap postings
that are well understood to be counter to a clean & healthy thread function.

The on ignore feature is useful, but only so far as it will not remove
what is wished to have disappear so that others can arrive here
and find a nice on topic GPM thread.
