Obviously not.

Understanding and enabling are two different things. But there are some things which documents written in our past would have approved of which, if laid out in black and white as in your message, I would have a hard time defending. Look at the sales bills for slaves in the 1840s. Should we be judged today by those standards?

Heck, there are things in our society today that I have a hard time defending. Starting with our campaign contribution laws. <g>
