Well, I think we're arguing semantics here. But your position defies logic: How can a person be tried for a crime that hasn't occurred?

Jury nullification is where a jury believes the person did the crime, but shouldn't be punished for it;

I do not believe that a thinking person could have concluded the man was not guilty.
