Well, it must be the bottom, because I sold the last of my QCOM today....:)

I didn't like the fact that it has not been able to rise on good news from France on the demo of their GSM/1x, WCDMA and DO products. The crash of the carriers seems to be dominating the news, and dragging qcom down. The Q seems too weak at this point, being down significantly while the market was up strongly, and closing at a new low. It hit my mental target to get out....I can't complain, even though I could have had a lot more....I still made enough for the kids education with a little left over for mom and dad.

We have had lots of capitulation indications in the market, such as unprecedented Arms index readings and high put call ratios, and yet the techs keep getting hammered, and have little enthusiasm on the rallies.

Strangely, the vix is low. The COT is still around 60,000 contracts net short.

I still think QCOM is a great company and eventually the stock will perform well again. Maybe I will get back in later if it looks like it is making a real bottom.

Thanks for all the discussion....just keep talkin' and let this frog know when it is safe to jump back into the water.....:)
