I guess the date line is about now completing the SuperLoop...hmm, daylight savings, and it's only 5.12 pm here [Auckland], or, as they say nowadays in cyberspace; @222. Therefore, we have another couple of hours to run to complete the SuperLoop....and now the Nikkei's reopened for the afternoon and heading down....arggghhhhh...

Jeez physics goes wonky at the event horizon...10060.20... oh, hang on, no, it's turned and up to 10084.28....10090.60...10102.36...10111.11 [that's a cool number]... get coffee. We have liftoff. It'll be a race to the markets in the USA tomorrow.

The New Paradigm is back on track! Major Paradigm Shift has happened.

Mq, you and your stupid CUSP! The Dow did NOT close above 10,000 on 20.02.2002. That means it was INSIDE the event horizon. You can't fool physics with some blather. INSIDE means it is NOT outside. Therefore, you got what you saw happen today...

<The Dow closed at 9,941 after a sizzling finish upwards in a short-squeezing rise. Nikkei now at 10,074 and rising having zipped up from below 10,000 a couple of hours ago.

So, I guess we are there! Phew! That was a close call on the triple-witching at 20.02 20.02.2002
>

You guessed wrong. 10,000.01 would have been "there". 9,941 was NOT there. Almost up to the event horizon is NOT past the event horizon. So, you get to go down with the ship into the maelstrom.

You can't fool markets with some blather either.

<font color=red>20.02 20.02.2002 Triple Witching

THE CUSP

Well, well, well, look at the Nikkei go! +5.90% in one day. That's quite a rise, up to 11,450. Hang Seng +1.75% to 10,607. Dow at 10,368.

It seems that we have indeed swooped through the cusp and beyond the event horizon after all. Japan has once again done Ju Jitsu on those who were betting against it.

Or was that money fleeing the USA, being repatriated to Japan and buying the Nikkei?

So,
Dow 16,000
Feb 2002
might be where the long run, smoothed Dow graph goes through after all.

I bet Uncle Al does an early interest rate rise by the end of March, by 1/2 percent, just to stop any irrational exuberance before it gets out of control. Which of course will just encourage irrational exuberance because everyone will take it as confirmation that things are hunky dory after all.
