Ericsson CEO Says Worst May be Over, Holds Forecast

Boston, Feb 20, 2002 (MidnightTrader via COMTEX) -- Ericsson (ERICY) is launching higher this morning on 137,700 Instinet shares following bullish comments from the company's CEO at a conference in France.
Bloomberg wire service is reporting this morning the CEO said today's market may be overly pessimistic, and he suggested the worst may be behind the industry.

The CEO also maintained the company's long-term estimates for subscriber growth, setting the mark at 1.6 billion subscribers in 2005, and net subscriber growth in 2002 of 20 to 25 percent.
