I don't know how good is UltraEdit but the price is way too high. Having to pay 35% more to have a better Notepad in my winXP is ridiculous. The problem is we need an Internet bank for what I would call penny-software. A place where I could send a deposit of let say $10. Then when I want a 50¢ software I go there and download it for 50¢. Now you would say 50¢ won't make it for the producer that will receive something like 40¢ net per copy, a check in the mail every month for the total copy sold in the month. Well, out of more than 100M windows system running, if he got 10% of them, that make possible for a good programmer to make a good $4M projects and make a living. All what's needed is a credible International Internet-bank. My 2¢ Gottfried
