Ok, help me out here. What would be the point of shipping a chipset without the processor? Samples, sure. But production?

HT has been a specification for a long while, there is even shipping, commercial silicon based on the spec. from multiple vendors. So I suspect that there has been some feedback as to any problems in implementation. AMD has reportedly been working on Hammer chipsets since last year, it's not like this is the first sign that they have realized a chipset is needed...
