More from the-privateer.com "Gold this week":

"Yes, we said that the only thing that could stop Gold was CONCERTED Central Bank action. All the Central Bankers who matter got together two weeks ago in Washington for the G-7 meeting. The G-7 communique didn't say anything about Gold, but the Central Bankers obviously did behind closed doors.

So, a week later, a Central Banker stepped forward and said that he could "imagine" selling Gold. Do you think he was "tricked" into saying what he said by the interviewer? Do you thing that the other Central Bankers present at the G-7 meeting had NOT discussed this course of action in advance?. Would you like to buy a slightly used bridge?"

"....but the question remains - why did Mr Welteke do this? Clearly to stop Gold from consolidating above $US 300 and thus turning into a BULL market."

"There is no way to "prove" this, but by far the most likely reason was simply to buy time. If there is one thing that Europe (and Japan and every other sane nation) does NOT want, it is a financial meltdown taking place in the U.S.."

Screw 'em all. Buy gold and gold stocks......

Wayne

Hi vt. You're right about TESOF. Agree (very ST) might lag a tad

OTOH, "a rising tide lifts all boats."

And my read of the sector action, almost a week ago, forced me to plunge into an aggressive buying program in a diversified basket of OS and NG stocks.

Early today added PQUE @ $4.88 and a few minutes ago PENG @ $20.22.

Overall this is the largest portfolio weighting I've held in the patch since end 1st wk of January.

In the gassers, currently long: CRK, EPEX, PQUE, PENG and a partial position in CRED

OS stocks are KEG, NR, DO, TESOF and MWP

In PMs, continue to really like SWC. Excellent tape action there. Just wish the darn critter would go into the bag for a day or two<g> so I could load the truck in the 14s. But the way it's acting? I'll be lucky to get any in the lo 15s.

One of my mentors, years ago, was relentless in emphasizing, "The good ones are always hard to buy". He sure was right about that.

Best regards,

Isopatch
