I am not poor, but I am also not wealthy. People who are actually poor in this country get back any income tax they pay in. The primary reason for upper-income tax cuts is not to make the recipient's life better. Most likely it will make no difference in their lifestyle. The primary reason is to encourage investment and create jobs for people whose lifestyle will be improved. * * *
