tekboy: What was interesting about that article was the last few paragraphs which suggested that the witch hunt by the politicians may miss the point.

The politics are obscuring not helping.

Sure, there are, and have been, and will be, abuses.

What makes sense then is the open disclosure for which Qualcomm may well be the "poster boy" and GE is planning a similar "openness".

All that is good.

What is dangerous is the all out attack on American business as composed of phonies, crooks and mean people who will do whatever it takes to hurt their employees.

Yes, there are such people, but is that what is what US business is at its base?

If so, what is the alternative? Should the government take over all "investment"?

Difficult times, but hopefully some slight modicum of balance and perspective will return in a few months.

Beating up on US companies as a "class" is fun for some, but might, just might, be difficult to sustain over the next months and years.

BWDIK.

Best.
