<The WTO can use a good Orwellian spokesperson like you....>

Well, funnily enough, the head of the WTO, Mike Moore, is a Kiwi guy from my home village. He's been a politician since he was a kid! He was at a party when we were youngsters [30 years ago] and he was 23 going on 40, dressed in a suit and standing for Eden [and was the youngest MP in New Zealand].

Anyway, he used to promote "Lamburgers" [to support NZ farmers of course - that was back in the 1980s]. He's an ardent fan of free trade and each country producing what they are good at. Before being a politician, he used to work at the freezing works [many Kiwis did as a rite of passage].

Another dinkum Kiwi, Peter Blake, [who twice led the team which won the America's Cup] was recently sailing up the Amazon to take a look around and promote environmental protection around the world, but some local wildlife shot and killed him.

Another one went poking around the Himalayas and couldn't find anything higher than Mount Haverest [Ed Hillary - who also happened to be from my local village; young daughter was surprised to find she could knock on his door, say hello and ask for an autograph].

They do get around!
