Responses:

1. Opinion based and a non-sequitur.
2. His minced words were carefully phrased in order to not insult the Chinese government. Working with them toward reunification (under a democrat framework), while quietly working behind the scenes toward a democratic vision of unification, will probably prove more effective than a public display of disrespect.
3. The ABM treaty was signed with a non-existent government and we're not obliged to follow it. Building a missile defense shield is far more humane and intelligent than mutually assured destruction.
4. In the relatively short time Bush was Governor of Texas he strengthened public education there. As compared to former governor Clinton of Arkansas, (who was there for far longer), the comparison is a joke.

At the very least he led by sending his children to public schools instead of hypocritically denying choice to poor parents who have their children trapped in failing schools, while sending his own children to elite private schools. e.g. Clinton/Gore.

5. Too silly a statement to respond to. The partisan allegiance and downright hatred of anything Bush is clearly evident.

You weren't listening to Bush, you were listening to yourself. Why can't you accept that he is a superior President? Are you so embarrassed of Clinton's regime that you can't believe it?

His response to the students was excellent, and demonstrate what a total grasp he has of the geopolitical situation in regard to China's relationship with the U.S.
