How do you turn a one-month 16% drop in home sales into a 16% gain? realtor.org seasonal adjustment and taking the average gain over the year to mute fluctuations. note that they also revised their statistical adjustments in January. it's also quite difficult to impute a 6 million annual sales rate from a mere 330,000 sales in one month. i noticed the realtor across the street, who is one of the top sales people in her office, was off about two weeks last month on vacation.
