I wouldn't presume to establish the definitive test for the label, Christian. That's a job for insiders.

We've discussed self-identification, church attendance, and the Apostles' Creed. Some nominal Christians who don't attend church services are religious Bible readers. Others are lapsed Christians/seculars. Some groups award membership cards and some don't. Some that hand out cards do so indiscriminately and others are exclusive. All part of the fuzziness of the numbers.
