My same reasoning would apply to these benchmarks. They are stupid. If he wants to show how much a P4 can profit from a 533 MHz FSB and 533 MHz RDRAM he has to compare it at a given clock-speed. If he wants to show the potential of the new technology against AMD's offering, he has to overclock both (e.g. 2.6 GHz/133 MHz P4 against 2600+/166 MHz XP). I don't know if you followed Voelkel's articles but from a journalistic standpoint they are the worst you could imagine. I don't think it was a good move for Tom to hire him to do all these benchmarks.
