I meant the obvious problem of using multiple similar trend indicators, or multiple similar oscillators, when one of each would suffice, the redundancy adding no reliability. I don't use either any more, but when I did, I made that mistake. Also I am experimenting with a scored entry system, and issues like whether or not requiring a fast ma to fail to make a lower low adds anything to the requirement that price fail to make a lower low. Occasions do occur when the former happens but the latter does not, and to me the two cases present a different picture.
