air is not invisible,it is only invisible to the naked eye,
just as a vacuum is visible in that there is nothing there to be invisible.

Obvious to see you've never lived in West Texas or other places with "two stripe","one stripe", & Oh MY GAWD" dust storms - which are also known as "hood ornament" dust storms where the little chrome dawg has turned around the wrong way & has his eyes shut. . Yes, I know you're really right, that the people there are really only seeing dust in the air not the air itself, BUT when you can only see a single stripe on the highway in front of you in the daylight.....
