Are you suggesting that the father didn't try to get Andrea Yates psychological help? Are you suggesting that the Father knew her mental state? Not that she was under duress, but that there was a risk to his children?

When you say "Assuming all things are equal" and then follow with those conditions, then it certainly seems to be suggesting that. The answer to your question is "I don't know". Which is pretty much the same thing any of us can say about the Yates case.

Her trial isn't a witchhunt. She killed her 5 children.
