Dave, another suggestion would be to mortgage your house and with the proceeds buy call-options on commodity-related stocks.

Then, when the options are worth ten times what they cost, you cash them in, AND SELL THE HOUSE, and go and retire on the French Riviera.

The question is: How does one take advantage of this bubble without selling your home?

That's exactly what I'm doing and will be homeless in less than two months. I live up in New Hampshire and there is an amazing number of folks from other states who own a second home here. My thought is that as the job market gets more challenging many of these people will be forced to sell their second home. I'm hoping to buy twice the house in a year and a half or two for the same money I'm selling for now. Risky??? I don't know. What I do know is that I've nearly doubled my money on a home I purchased less than three years ago.
