ROTFLMAO! No real connection. Perhaps I should have said Roth and McGinn and then also Lay. Roth and McGinn are no longer CEOs at Nortel and Lucent and both those companies have been dumped in the shitter. Roth and McGinn subjected their employees to multiple layoffs at multiple different times, leaving employees uncertain, disloyal, and afraid. Lay outright screwed his employees and drove the business to bankruptcy. Chambers did one deep layoff and gave very good severance packages, which I think would have been a good morale booster among employees in the sense that they were reasonably certain another layoff wasn't coming and their jobs were reasonable secure. So I think on the whole, Chambers managed the people aspect much better than any of those other three, who obviously were thinking coldly like kkvc.
