Well at this point last year, there had already been a major round of budget cuts. If there is a double-dip recession, then there probably will be another few rounds of budget cuts.

EMC supposedly had a very bad February. Veritas has closed a lot of deals and is ahead of plan through 2 months. CSCO is facing seasonality. This market is wild. I am used to the volatility but a double dip recession is an unpleasant thought. The numbers so far just don't bear out such a scenario but the stock market is one smart animal and telco/VC hangover is not getting better anytime soon.
