Hi David,

Re: Is there anyone in California who feels that the state's failure to build generation capacity commensurate with its growth in demand contributed to the problem?

Many who have been lied to consistently by the IPEA (Jan Smutny-Jones is chief liar for this group) and the Power Marketers group (Gary Ackerman is chief liar for this one. He's completely ethically and morally bankrupt) have been successfully deluded to think so.

Supplies were never short, in spite of the continuous mendacious and vile lies these people spread.

You do understand that the worst of the "crisis" occurred when state demand was 20,000 Mw below total generating capacity. Right? And you do understand the logical implications, right? Someone was "gaming" the system.

Read recent news about how Enron used "congestion" as a means of jacking up spot prices. That is an astonishment of chicanery.
