That article must be a girl thing. Somehow it doesn't resonate with me.

While the girls the are confessing and crying, the boys are out playing "soldier" or "cowboys and Indians". Not quite the same game.

Hi E,

I read that article in the Sunday NYT magazine and thought it was eerily accurate. Teen girls can be terribly cruel.

Oprah had a special last week about middle school girl clicks. The guest psychologist was very informative as were the middle school girls who were brutally honest.

The bottom line is that girls learn about dealing with treachery at this stage and what a "real friend" is. I guess that is the only positive side to this. My daughters have been talking to me about it for a couple of years. I have great empathy for any kid at this stage in life. Its a tough time.
