Are you saying most Americans would scrap Medicare if the opportunity arose? What would the alternative be? Putting America's senior citizens entirely at the mercy of HMOs?

Get real.

Both the Republicans and Democrats are embracing more socialism, not less socialism. (Aren't school vouchers a form of socialism?)

Re: "socialism sucks." Not for the socialist elite, who just come here for medical treatment they really need or whatever else they want and can't get at home. They're just more equal than others.

If this country were socialist, look at who the potential leaders would be, and how they abuse power now, to the detriment of their proletariat.
