hj, hawaii is expensive, however, the japanese recession has caused prices to be relatively weak. in gen'l, hawaii is comparable to san dawg right now. the bay area crushes both.

Honolulu has stagnated at an absurdly high level in housing costs for a decade. At one time it was so much higher than the rest of the country that it was not even counted in making comparisons. Now it is behind the Bay Area in cost of living -- but how has the Bay Area been holding up in housing prices??
