Appears the market is suffering from a huge credibilty problem, that's a given..Now what about the Fed? The accuracy of recently released numbers and revisions is stunning..Are these fella's just guessing when they originally release numbers? The percent of error is huge, beyond belief..If the dow truns decisively negative, the Naz is set up to get crushed,IMO...BTK closed below 480, SOX below 520..I can't imagine they can pump the dow to much further, my guess is any great number tomorrow is already factored in...expect the consummer confidence number, which could surprise to the weak side,IMO..
I still don't believe investors have had the pants scared off them yet, the drop as a result of 9/11 was just that, a result of 9/11..I don't think investors were aware enough of the market fall, and never really "lost that love'in feeling" for stocks..might get a second chance

GNSS - after reading some links, maybe the apparent drop in consensus earnings from around 40-45 cents in the Sept. Qtr. to 19 cents is the main reason, but the huge increase in tax rate from about 19% to 35% is scary too. What will that do to 2003 EPS projections and why is the tax rate going up so much?

Top that off with a C.C. that frustrated analysts and I am beginning to understand the massive re-evaluation.

It sounds like that the analysts all misundestood that the Sept qtr. would be so weak o GNSS management inadvertently or purposely misled them. Who knows?
