He was an American, a Jew -- a trophy Pearl's murder was a terrible crime. ananova.com ananova.com I hope the USA uses some terror in reply to such atrocities. A couple of unfortunate accidents may educate some that killing innocent human beings, full of good intent, is not a desirable act. That British born terrorist, Ahmed Omar Saeed Sheikh, needs to go for a start imho. Yep..OK that makes me a terrorist too...I know. How does one fight terrorism effectively?

The murder of Daniel Pearl was precisely the same thinking in evidence when a Somali warlord had a US soldier's corpse dragged through the streets. It is designed to shock, to hoorrify, to terrorize. It gains nothing for the perpetrator. It does not get the US off Saudi soil, deter the US' resolve to go to war when attacked or it's certainty of winning said war, it does not drive the Israeli's into the sea, it does not aid a Palestinian or Iraqi, it does not feed the hungry or repatriate the refugee, it does not create dialogue to reach understandings or peace, it does not represent Mohammed or Allah, it does not invent something, create something, inspire someone or beautify anything. It says only that the perpetrators are make-believe Muslims that every sane human being can clearly see are brutal butchers, so unevolved that they have yet to reach the evolutionary level of a lizard with all their hissing and slithering. They would make good pig food after their execution. Who's next? Will other Muslims claim the Jews killed Pearl? Or the CIA? Will they dance in the streets and pass out candy at the news of Pearl's savage treatment? He worked for no government; as a journalist, he did the journalist job. He tracked down interesting stories and wrote about them so others could learn about what goes on in the world. He was a threat to no-one except those who must hide from the truth their own misdeeds. So what was the purpose in his murder? And more importantly, what was the purpose in videotaping it and passing out copies? Only one: to terrorize. Not to gain anything but the intimidation of subhuman bullies. I certainly am opposed to fighting a religious war with any faith and I am hardly an enemy to Islam or its Muslim adherents. But murderers like these I recognize by the company they keep. They mimic Idi Amin or Pol Pot or any number of savage and senseless murderers. That's where their real faith lies, not in the Quran. And any person publicly or privately cheering them on is also a betrayal to any known faith on the planet. I don't care if you're Christian, Hindu, Muslim, Buddhist or Yalie fraternity brother, if you support such barbarism, then you, too, are a snake who should be executed and fed to swine. His grieving widow not only delivered a much better example of spirit with her words in response, but it's clear she has more balls than the sum total of the toxic viruses who held the weapons or cameras during the vile act. For the perpetrators, their supporters and their fans, there is no point in dialogue any longer. I do not own a video camera nor do I require the weaponry of murderers. I need make no record to impress anything on anyone or to horrify relatives. I will do no dance of joy, nor pass out candy. But make certain of this: I intend to kill you. Whether by my own hand, by the hand of law enforcement representatives or military defenders, I know now exactly what you are - a spineless murderer - and the sooner you are dead and forgotten, the sooner the world can be free of your excremental words and deeds. You will only find refuge among other snakes, cowering in dark places. But the hungry pigs will not be denied. Your days are limited and there are no other options left. You lose.
