"We are forecasting a loss of $(0.08) on revenues of
$908 billion..."

Surely he is mistakened...$908 "billion" in revenues isn't 'til next year, no????

Re: We are forecasting.... revenues of $908 billion

Hey, just call me (and Niceguy) pessimists, but I don't think the $908 billion quarterly revenue figure is going to happen!

:-)

The company provided the latest processor roadmap, with some pretty impressive claims for the Hammer family... The product is currently sampling with key customers.

Nice confirmation - hope it's even more spot on than that revenue estimate.

The company provided the latest processor roadmap, with some pretty impressive claims for the Hammer family, with a 2.8GHz (our estimate; their claim is a 3.4GHz P4 equivalent) part shipping by the end of 2002. The product is currently sampling with key customers.

SSB thinks Hammer is only ~2% faster than Athlon on IPC?

3400/2800 = 21.4%
2000/1667 = 19.9%
