If freezing kills bacteria (unicellular critters???), then why does freezing sperm at super low temperatures not kill the spermatozoa?

You are right in that water tends to drop its solute(s) when it freezes. This is very evident on frozen ponds and lakes in winter, and in ice making plants that use ordinary tap water.

Are you sure? Think how full if "it' they are in Washington. Sure, it might be near a L/D but I'd bet after a person could make fair amount of coin selling matchboxes as coffins.
