How about not thinking like a hardware enthusiast, for a change, and consider an Athlon XP 2000+ without comparing it to the Pentium 4 2.0GHz. When the consumer sees the computer sitting on the shelf, what do you suppose goes through their mind? Does 2000+ give them any idea how fast the processor is? Does it really represent *true* performance?

Be careful how you answer, though. If you tell me that they are going to look at it, and correlate it with megahertz, then you will have admitted that QuantiSpeed has effectively given credibility to the notion that megahertz equals performance.
