Yes, that's indeed strange. Normally he appears after the quarterly CC on CNBC (if the quarter was good enough). So you might be right about Thoroughbred. It would be a perfect opportunity since Intel launched the mobile Pentium 4 today.

If nothing else, in Q2 AMD will have finished closing down those fabs and won't have those expenses anymore. I think that is going to save them $45 million per quarter. With that, almost any little increase will be enough for them to make a small profit. I gather from a PM from Richard P. that spot market prices for AMD flash is still low, so no joy from that part of the business...
