Actually, no, not everyone was blindsided by the past two trading days. Over on the MITA thread (http://www.siliconinvestor.com/subject.aspx?subjectid=28666) we've been watching this "situation" develop for over 3 weeks now. Actually it took longer to arrive than we expected- that was the only surprising thing for us. The ratio of bear to bull assets in the Rydex funds over the past three weeks has reached similar levels to the bottom in 1998.
