Focus on this statement...

Great, so it maybe will go down less than the rest of them

Therefore, Intel might go down less than AMD. Therefore, if one wants to place "bets" on the semiconductor market, Intel is the best place to place your "bet"

AMD doesn't have a PE ratio. AMD lost money in 2001 so it is politely listed as N/A.

Of course if you recognize that AMDron had ZERO earnings then the ratio is infinity.
