Italian bees, Apis mellifera ligustica. Not sure what they'll feed on. I am hoping they will pollinate my fruit trees (apples, peaches, cherries, plums, apricots, pluots, pawpaws, figs). Also blackberries, raspberries, blueberries, strawberries, and gooseberries. I am told that they will mostly feed on black locust and tulip poplar, trees with little green flowers too small to notice.

Maybe we should start a thread for beekeeping.:)
