I plant a Brandyvine every year. Nice large and meaty tomato. Ripen a little later than most. Best tomato sandwich.

We like Brandywine so much that's all we've planted for several years. This year I will put in one resistant hybrid because my son wanted to try it.

Brandywine tomatoes are very large and heavy, and they are "funny looking." But delicious. And very disease resistant.

Has anyone tried that popular heirloom variety, Brandywine?

Contrary to most people I was disappointed in the Brandywine tomatoes I grew last year. They were to mild for my taste buds. After tasting one I kept wondering why so many people think they are the greatest. I hope you have better results than I did.
