Thanks for the input, everyone. I'll do half Brandywine and half hybrid and we'll see how it goes. Will report back here. I hate to bring this up, because it could cause controversy .. but..what is your favorite tasting tomato? :)

Our brandywine tomatos were real slow to come on. Of course it has been really hot and dry but i poured the water to them. Anyway a couple look like they may be ready, but how do you tell when they are ripe? Seems like they get to a certain shade of pink. No bright reds on these I guess?
